Internal Applicants
Certificated: Current employees can send a letter of interest and their current resume to the Personnel Services department.
Classified: Current employees can submit a completed transfer form to Personnel Services and attach a current resume.

Pathways to becoming a Paraeducator
SLUSD is proud to partner with Alameda County Office of Education’s Project Para, a program that trains and supports those who want to work in classrooms assisting students, including those with special needs. The program offers multiple paths:

A 4-week in-person training (with paid stipend)

A 12-week evening option for those balancing other commitments

Monthly support sessions for application help, exam prep, and more
