Mandarin & Spanish Dual Language Immersion Programs Open for Enrollment

These programs support bilingualism and biliteracy, grade-level academic achievement, and positive cross-cultural competencies. Instruction is in both English and the target language. Instruction is differentiated in all content areas (elementary) and specific content areas (secondary). All activities lead to cultural competency and promote a positive self-image. Spanish Immersion programs are available at Halkin, Jefferson, Washington Elementary schools, and Bancroft Middle School. The Mandarin Immersion program is available at Madison Elementary School (starting in Fall 2023).
