What is the bell schedule at Bancroft?

How much is school lunch?

Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students!

Do all students get a locker?

Yes! Every student will be assigned a locker with a lock.

Where can I buy PE clothes?

PE clothes can be purchased in the PE locker rooms for the following prices:

• Shirts- $10
• Shorts- $10
• Sweatpants- $20
• Hoodie- $20 
• Gently used and washed PE uniforms- $1

Students may also wear Black, Grey or Blue athletic clothing and still receive credit for towards their grade.

Can students bring their backpacks to class?

Students must keep backpacks in their assigned lockers during the school day. Students should bring the materials needed for each class (binder, notebook and pen/pencil). 

Can students use their phones during school hours?

No, students are not allowed to use their cell phones for any reason while on campus. The front office has a phone for students who need to contact their parent/guardian. Parents/guardians can also call the front office if they need to contact their student during school hours.

If an adult sees a student on their phone, the phone will be confiscated. 

1. First incident: The student can pick up the phone/electronic at the end of the day.
2. Second incident: The student can pick up the phone and a parent/guardian will be notified. 
3. Third incident: The parent/guardian will need to pick up the phone/electronic. The student will be required to turn in the phone before school each day and pick it up after school has ended. 

Where can students go for academic support?

Study Center

Study Center is a space for students to complete their work and receive support from credentialed teachers. It is available every Monday and Tuesday between 3:15-4:15pm. If you are interested in your student receiving additional academic support, please complete a Study Center Permission Slip and turn in to a school counselor in order for your student to participate. Study Center starts Tuesday 9/9/25.

Teacher Office Hours

Weekly teacher office hours are provided so students can make up quizzes, homework and classwork (please refer to class syllabi for detailed descriptions of teachers’ specific grading policies). Please view Teacher Office Hours for more information.

School-Based Therapy

School-based therapy is available for students who need social/emotional support during school hours, at no cost to families. Please contact your school counselor for more information. 

Care Solace

Care Solace is an online resource with a live, 24/7 concierge line that assists individuals in finding local mental health-related programs and counseling services. Access to Care Solace is available to our students, staff, and families at no cost. Care Solace does not require a user’s name, address, phone number, or date of birth. The Barbara Lee Center

The Barbara Lee Center (BLC) is the home of the Native American Health Center (NAHC), which offers free medical, dental, behavioral and sexual health services for all SLUSD students. The NAHC services focus on prevention and integrated care with a mission to improve adolescent health, well-being, and success in school by increasing access to comprehensive, high-quality health care services.
