Roosevelt’s mission is to provide a safe environment where high expectations, standards-based differentiated curriculum, and life-long learning are the norm for all students, as well as adults. We are working towards improving all students’ scores on high-stakes assessments, as well as narrowing and eventually closing the achievement gap through culturally responsive teaching, a rigorous academic program, and equitable practices. We believe this can be accomplished through a practice of open and honest communication, high expectations for every child, courageous conversations around race, partnerships with our families, and a commitment by all that values each child’s voice.
