The English Language Advisory Council (ELAC) meets several times per school year. Members review programs for students who are second-language learners and learn about English Language Development instruction. A parent is also elected to serve as the school’s representative to the District English Language Advisory Council (DELAC). Contact the principal for more information about how to join.

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a group of parents, staff, and community members who come together to support the success of students learning English. ELAC gives families a voice in shaping programs and services for English Learners at our school.
ELAC members:
Advise the principal and School Site Council (SSC) on the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) as it relates to English Learners.
Share input on programs, services, and resources that help English Learners thrive.
Help build strong partnerships between families and the school so that every child is supported in reaching their full potential.
Parents of English Learners make up the majority of ELAC members, and meetings are open for all families to attend. Together, we ensure that the needs of our English Learners are heard and celebrated!
