10 Years of the Community Job and Resource Fair and it’s BACK!
This will be the 10th year that the Community Job and Resource Fair will be held at the San Leandro Adult & Career Education Center on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The event will be in conjunction with Rubicon Programs, America’s Job Center of California, and the Alameda County Workforce Development Board. Kristi Kaady, our Transitions Center Specialist, will spearhead this event.
Kaady explains that the “Purpose of this fair is to gather the community’s resources and bring them together to help our community and school with the employment and resources they may need.” Various companies offering entry-level programs and programs that support job seekers will be in attendance. Other areas of interest are home care, free cell phones for seniors, the Fire Department, and more.
This networking opportunity enables students and the community to explore new daily living options, find employment opportunities, and discover various resources. Kaady wants people to learn what SLACEC can do to help with “Jobs, resources, and more education.”
