Dear Halkin Elementary School Community,

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the Principal of Halkin Elementary School—home of the Dolphins—for the 2025–2026 school year. At Halkin, we proudly serve over 750 students in grades TK through 5, guided by our core values embodied in the acronym WAVE: We are Respectful, Act Responsibly, Value Teamwork, and Everyone’s Safe. These values are supported daily by a dedicated and experienced team of educators and staff who are committed to the success of every student.

As principal, my vision is to lead through an equity lens. At Halkin, we are committed to maintaining high expectations, providing intentional support, and fostering both academic and social-emotional growth for all learners.

Anchored by the SLUSD Graduate Profile, we are focused on cultivating a college-going culture and implementing a robust multi-tiered system of support to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.

We deeply value our families as essential partners in education. Your involvement is at the core of our success—whether through volunteering, participating in school events, or engaging with school initiatives—strengthens our community and enriches our students’ educational journey.

Es un honor y un privilegio ser directora de la Escuela Primaria Halkin, sede de los Dolphins, durante el año escolar 2025-2026.
