Garfield Elementary is proud to be part of the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP), a statewide initiative that helps schools become centers of connection and support for students and families.
Through our Community Schools approach, we work to ensure that every student thrives academically, socially, physically, and emotionally. By coordinating services, expanding enrichment opportunities, and building strong partnerships with families and local organizations, we’re creating a school where every child feels supported and every family feels welcome.
Garfield’s Community Schools efforts are guided by four foundational pillars:

- Expanded Learning Time and Opportunities
These efforts are part of a district-wide initiative to create inclusive and thriving schools across San Leandro Unified, ensuring access to family supports, enrichment programs, and academic success for all students.
