alt_text

At the September school board meeting, the trustees approved Resolution 23-29, honoring National Hispanic American Heritage Month, which starts today, September 15.  This month offers powerful opportunities to celebrate and uplift the rich histories and cultures encompassed within Hispanic/Latinx heritage, deeply interwoven in our vibrantly diverse community. Almost 50% of our district students identify as Hispanic/Latinx.

The resolution encourages schools throughout San Leandro Unified School District to elevate the countless ways Hispanic and Latinx Americans have contributed to our shared history. To learn more, visit https://www.hispanicheritagemonth.gov/ and look for more information from your schools.
