Halkin families are preparing to celebrate the end of Ramadan on April 9, 2024.

Ramadan is celebrated by Muslims all around the world, it's a time of increased worship, charity and good deeds. People who observe Ramadan cannot eat or drink during daylight hours. Families observing Ramadan can eat before dawn and after sunset. Socially, it often brings families and friends together in festive gatherings around meals to break their fast. Ramadan is followed by the Islamic holiday of Eid al-fiter.


Eid al-fiter is on April 9. It’s one of the two Eid’s Muslims have twice a year the second is Eid alatha.

Eid is a holiday for Muslims to mark the end of Ramadan. Families clean their houses, make treats, and dress in the best for it. Eid simplifies purity, so we do our best to dress up. It’s a celebration where families and the community join together to show appreciation and love. Eid Mubarak everyone! 🌙☪️
