SLUSD Board Approved 2021-2024 LCAP
The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a comprehensive planning tool to support student outcomes and is an important component of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Under the LCFF, all local educational agencies (LEAs) are required to prepare an LCAP, which describes how they intend to meet annual goals for all pupils, with specific activities to address state and local priorities identified pursuant to California Education Code (EC) sections 52060(d), 52066(d), and 47605. Before the adoption of the LCAP, school districts are required to notify members of the public of the opportunity to submit written comments regarding the specific actions and expenditures proposed to be included in the LCAP.
San Leandro Unified School District School Board held a public hearing during the June 8 regular board meeting to present the Local Control and Accountability Plan. Community members also had the opportunity to voice their feedback and comments using the survey from June 8 through June 21. We appreciate those who provided feedback on the district’s goals and actions. Our goal is to continually improve our goals and actions to address our students’ needs and make our LCAP development process more robust by listening to our community and stakeholders. After gathering community feedback, the San Leandro USD Governing Board approved the SLUSD 2021 – 2024 LCAP on June 29.
