FEES & ADMISSION<\/h3>\n

English as a Second Language, Citizenship Preparation, Adult Basic Education, High School Diploma, and GED Preparation classes are free. Fees for classes in other programs vary according to length and\/or type of class. Some classes require the purchase of books or materials. Classes are primarily for adults 18 years or older. You do not have to live in San Leandro to attend. All teachers are credentialed or experts in their fields.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

No refund of any fees unless a class is canceled. No transfer of fees. No exceptions to this policy. Please select classes carefully. It is expected that students will attend all sessions. Missing one week of classes is cause for being dropped.<\/p>\n

CREDIT RECOVERY STUDENTS<\/h3>\n

Full-time students from San Leandro High School, Lincoln High School, and Lighthouse Independent Study will be allowed to enroll in classes. Juniors and seniors interested in pursuing this option must email their completed and signed \u201cPermit For Credit Recovery Enrollment 2025-26\u201d form with current transcript to the Credit Recovery instructor: aellerman@slusd.us<\/p>\n

No out of district credit recovery students accepted. Credit Recovery students must be on time and remain in class and not leave early.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

TRANSCRIPT POLICY<\/h3>\n

Transcript requests must be made in writing with original signature. San Leandro Adult & Career Education Center only issues transcripts from our institution. Requests may take up to three business days to process. Must present current government issued photo ID, for example, passport, driver\u2019s license, or state I.D. card to pick up transcripts. We do not photocopy or return transcripts from other schools. <\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

PRIVACY RESTRICTIONS<\/h3>\n

Federal law (20 U.S.C.S. \u00a7 1232g(b)) prevents us from sharing student information without the written consent of the student. This means that the adult school cannot give other individuals information about what class, if any, a student attends, or if the student is present at school. Schools that fail to comply with this law risk losing federal funding.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
