Spanish I

Description: Make Spanish your second or third language! This is an academic Spanish class focusing on basic language skills including listening, speaking, reading writing, vocabulary, and grammar. Be prepared to start from the beginning and learn proper Spanish for work, home, and travel. Class will be taught via Zoom

Spanish II

Description: Advanced Beginning Spanish. The focus of this class is to move from basic to effective communication in the Spanish language. We will build on the fundamentals from Spanish 1 (or your previous experience with the language) and focus on successful communication skills! You will gain confidence in the language as you expand your vocabulary and improve your grammatical understanding and oral fluency. You will learn how to create sentences in past, present and future verb tenses using a variety of topic specific vocabulary. Additionally, we will focus on practical applications for the language in our lives, and learn more about the cultures and linguistic differences of Spanish speakers around the world. All students with un poquito prior knowledge of the language are welcome! Class will be taught via Zoom.

Machine Knitting

Description: Learn the basics of machine knitting and other needle crafts. Learn the cast on process, how to get a finished edge, how to increase and decrease, and garment finishing.
Students are required to bring their own machines to the class.
