NBC Sports Bay Area announced the five finalists for the 2022 All-Star Teacher Award, one of which is San Leandro Unified teacher Deanna Slaton from Bancroft Middle School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its 15th year, the All-Star Teacher Award has recognized middle and high school teachers in Northern and Central California for their extraordinary dedication to their students in school and in the community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning teacher will receive $20,000 for their school and will be announced during an on-field ceremony prior to a San Francisco Giants game at Oracle Park and live during NBC Sports Bay Area\u2019s telecast of Giants Pregame Live. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voting for Ms. Slaton or any of the finalists can be done online at NBCSportsBayArea.com\/AST<\/a> from April 11 to June 6. The website features biographies and short videos<\/a> of the five finalists. In addition, the finalists will be featured in personal videos vignettes that will air on NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California, and they will be interviewed on select Giants Pregame Live and A\u2019s Pregame Live shows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
