Unity in the Community – San Leandro invites the public to join them in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 17 from 10:30-12 noon. The program will be held on Zoom.
See preliminary designs here and provide input on the location of the new safety drop-off at McKinley Elementary.
As previously announced, funeral services for much-beloved School Board Member Christian Rodriguez will be held at noon on Wednesday, January 5, at Santos-Robinson Funeral Home. Due to the current surge in COVID cases, the family is encouraging the public to attend via Zoom so all can participate safely. There will also be a public viewing from 9 AM until 8 PM, with the number of visitors in the chapel being limited to maintain COVID safety protocols.
A community celebration to honor and remember Christian’s life is planned for the spring or summer.
