Bancroft Middle School provides sixth, seventh, and eighth graders with a robust district-adopted curriculum in all subject areas.\u00a0 State standards and district-adopted texts are used in all core curricular areas, including English, mathematics, science, history, physical education, health, Spanish Dual Language Immersion, and visual\/performing arts.<\/p>\n

Students at Bancroft Middle School enjoy various extracurricular activities and an enrichment curriculum.\u00a0 We participate in the Southern Alameda County league and compete with area middle schools in football, cross country, basketball, wrestling, soccer, volleyball, softball, and track.\u00a0 Enrichment curriculum includes orchestra, band, jazz band, drama production, art, computers, Leadership, and Span<\/p>\n

Bancroft Middle School, home of the Broncos, is deeply committed to following the San Leandro Unified <\/span>Graduate Profile<\/span><\/a>, instilling essential skills and values in its students. With a student-centered approach, Bancroft Middle School cultivates an environment that promotes academic achievement, personal growth, and social-emotional development. The school’s dedicated faculty and staff ensure that students are challenged to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate, and demonstrate cultural competency. Through a comprehensive curriculum, Bancroft Middle School prepares students to become responsible and engaged citizens, fostering their abilities to solve complex problems and adapt to an ever-changing world. The school year starts in late August and ends in mid-June.  Each Tuesday and Wednesday students are dismissed at 2:00 p.m. so that teachers can work together.  The campus is open at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast in the cafeteria and for the A period Band class.  After school the ASES program provides students with supervised activities including homework help, enrichment classes and intramural athletics.  The ASES program closes at 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Most of the clubs on campus meet during lunch with adult supervision.\u00a0 Athletic teams typically practice and compete after school.\u00a0 Schedules are distributed by each coach at the beginning of the season.\u00a0 Students who participate in special events such as the school play will rehearse after school under the direct supervision of the director.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
