SLUSD Wants to Hear From You!!
Do you have opinions on how the San Leandro Unified School District spends money but don’t know how to take action? Attend an upcoming Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) community forum to have your say!
This year, in order to provide more opportunities for feedback, every school site will host at least two LCAP family engagement opportunities. These events will also include details about our facilities improvement bond, Measure N, which is on the ballot for March 3rd.
Monday February 24th at 830am in the library and 315pm in room 102.
If you are unable to attend your school’s LCAP events, SLUSD will also host community forums on the following dates:

February 26 at John Muir Middle School from 6:30 tp 8 pm, presented in Chinese
February 29 at the Barbara Lee Center for Health and Wellness, presented in English
It is our hope that the new site-based LCAP events will help us deepen our community engagement practices across this award-winning district. Learn more about the LCAP process HERE.

Read A Thon Our English Department is leading the literacy charge by having a school-wide read a thon. We kick-off the Bancroft Read-a-thon this coming Monday, Jan. 27. Please support your scholar to read more.
- It runs exactly three weeks from Jan 27 to Feb. 14 (Valentine’s Day).
- All of your class periods are competing against each other and there will be ONE class winner PER TEACHER.
- Please provide Read-a-thon Reading Logs for your students. Mr. Fox should have provided you with a copy already.
- Each teacher will decide when to check and/or collect Reading Logs and insert coins into the jar accordingly. 15 MINUTES = 1 COIN
- Coin jars will be collected on FRIDAYS (1/31, 2/7, and 2/14) during period 6 by the Library IWE, Misha. Coins will be counted and tallies will be recorded for each class.
- Jars will be returned on Monday by the end of the day.
- Class winners will be announced after the February break.
Please cheer on your students and if possible, allow them some time during class to read.
